more manifesto

  • We despise ignorance and see no justification for it or those who fall back on it as an excuse for their laziness or lack of imagination
  • Our art will not go wrong. We must spend our whole lives seeing the art in everything. Take the case of a performance, we set parameters and what ever happens may happen and by virtue of the parameters set as well as an acknowledgement of happenstance, interesting and good art. This applies to everything we produce!
  • We will not be defined by the medium we work in. We are not painters even though we paint, we are not sculpters even though we may sculpt, we are not performers even if we perform. We are artists we make art.
  • A penniless artist is a romantic notion, struggling at life but still producing. We will be that artist, because we have and will invest too much to turn back, our happieness is inexplicably linked to our production. We do not want your office christmas parties, we do not want your televison. If we need to we will make films only we will see, perform for only each other, put on shows only we go too. However if by chance we are accepted and a patron rears their head, that will also be acceptable.
  • Our art is not for the mass's we should not have to make work with charatable objective, It is not good art in spite of, or because of this fact. It merely exists for it's own sake.

maybe manifesto points

aware of the dubious nature of objective realities, we assert that it is the artists privilege to create systems and scenarios that while entirely comprehensible to the artist do not necessarily enlighten the viewer.

we seek to impose order through our work. through it may appear that we intend to disorientate: this is merely a symptom of a greater societal disorientation.

galleries will serve as the archives of our 'truth'. not as the theaters of our practice.

lack of knowledge is no bar to our understanding

self doubt is the motor of our practice (maybe a secret point?)

maybe: "end rational debate production is everything"? or "end production rational debate is everything"? or both?
